I want to extend a cordial welcome as you visit the website of our magnificent Cathedral which is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Providence. This Cathedral is a testament to the faith of generations of Catholics who have made their home in Rhode Island. This Cathedral, built with the pennies of the poor, continues to stand as a beacon of hope and a haven of peace for all who enter its doors. Here the   living God has been worshipped for over one hundred and twenty years. I pray that your visit will be spiritually uplifting. Please know that the Cathedral clergy and staff are more than willing to be of assistance.
